Re the above. It is correct what you say and it is an interesting point. Apparently immediately after the states acceded to the Union, all 9 gun salutes were allowed the style of HH by the Government of India. If you look to the bottom of the RoyalArk Salute page, you will see that the above is correct. Anyway the general rule of thumb is, if you are unsure what the correct title is, use the higher title, I don't think any 'ruler' would be offended by that. Just my 2 cents worth. Cheers, Henry
