Some time back, there was discussion on residences of Rajas/ Maharajas in New Delhi. Are any members still working on the same? There appears to be two "Pataudi Houses" , One near Connaught Place ( Near Lady Irwin School) and other in Old Delhi ( near Jama Masjid). Similarly there appear to be two Jodhpur Houses. One near India gate and other on Aurangzeb Road. Is there a Bundi House, behind Jodhpur House ( Officers quarters, India gate)? Hi I done some research on this. Many maharajas had houses in old delhi instead of new delhi. 1. Gwalior House - 37, Rajpur Road 2. Udaipur House - 14, Rajpur Road 3. Sirohi House - Ambedkar Memorial. Dr Ambedkar died here so it is now a museum. 4. There are two faridkot houses. The one which is human rights office and other one on chanakyapuri in front of american embassy. 5. Kolhapur House - Daryaganj - now demolished but area is still known as kolhapur house. 6. Alirajpur House: This is in vasant kunj area. It was designed by famous architect Piloo Mody. 7. There were 3 bikaner houses - Bikaner house pandara road, 9 Aurangzeb road and 10 prithviraj road. --- pabitra saha <pksaha000@yahoo.co.uk> wrote: > Some time back, there was discussion on residences > of Rajas/ Maharajas in New Delhi.
