Several years ago, my family and I visited Mumbai and visited the Taj Hotel. The beauty of the city and the kindness of its people have left an indelible memory on me. The events of the past several days are incomprehensible when weighed against that memory. How could such horrors arise? How can we work to prevent them from ever repeating? My deepest sympathies for all who lost loved ones in this tragedy and to the entire people of Mumbai, who have suffered such trauma. Let us all recommit ourselves to the eradication of religious and cultural hatred. Let us renew our devotion to the great spiritual leaders of history, who all taught the same message of acceptance, love and peace. Jim Havel
