    3. Maharajkumari Sucharita Gajapathi Raju Prashar of Vizianagaram expired on 18th July 2008. She was daughter of Maharaja Poosapati Ananda Gajapathi Raju, Maharaja Saheb of Vizianagaram and his former wife, Maharani Uma Gajapathi Raju. Maharajkumari was married to Dhruv Prashar and a resident of Garden Estate, Gurgaon, Near New Delhi. She was born on 1st October, 1972. Maharaja Poosapati Ananda Gajapathi Raju, Maharaja Saheb of Vizianagaram was born on 17th July, 1950 at Madras (now Chennai) and married Uma Gajapathi Raju on 18th August, 1971 and later divorced. They have two daughters. He then married Sudha Gajapathi Raju. Educated at Scindia School, Gwalior; Loyola College, Madras; Andhra Pradesh University and Stetson University, Florida U.S.A.), he was member of Parliment of tenth Lok Sabha as Cong. (I) member from Bobilli (Andhra Pradesh) constituency. Maharani Uma Gajapathi Raju, B.A (English Hon.) Stella Maria College, Chennai University, Vice Chairperson Cum Director Marketing, is a renowned media personality. She co-anchors the popular weekly programme, "India This Week" telecast on DD Metro every week. She was/is the executive producer of a host of programmes produced by MPCL including India This Week, The Great India Show, The India Travel Show, Showcase The Best of Indian Cinema, The Cinema Show, The India Magazine, Public Hasti-Filmi Masti, Olympic Ka Itihas, Hit Parade, Rupert Murdoch's Foot Prints Across India, Mukti Gatha, Desh Raag, Special Assignment, The Making Of A Nation, The Computer Show. She was also a nominated member of the selection committee of the International Film Festival, l& B Ministry in 1992-93 and 1993-94. She was also a member of the Cultural Committee, Nehru Implementation Committee, 1989. A member of the Ninth Lok Sabha, she was a Member of Parliament, representing Vishakhapatnam Constituency. She was also Joint Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (1989-90) a member of the Consultative Committee on Information & Broadcasting (1989-1991) a member of the sub-committee for media and publicity, Congress Election Campaign 1991 and member of the core group publishing 'Zero Hour bulletin' for the party. The other positions held by her include Director, Trade Fair Authority of India (1988-89) and Vice -President, All India Women's Hockey Federation (1988-1992). After her separation, she married Ramesh Sharma, owner of Motion Picture Company Ltd. , a listed company. She is also vice chairman of the same company. Sucharita's younger sister is Sanchaita.
