I was just wondering, as I do from time to time, whether the names of students who entered the Senior Cambridge Examination in India, are contained on any on-line data base? ....................... Hi John, My understanding is that the papers for the Senior and Junior Cambridge were sent to England for correction, so I wonder if the Uni of Cambridge or Education Dept in UK should have some record of these??? When the ISC (Indian School Certificate) came in to supersede the SC around 1970 under Frank Anthony, they were corrected in New Delhi. BTW I still have my mother's SC certificate of 1928!!! She studied at St George's Grammar School Hyderabad 1915-1928, taught there 1930-1953 and was Headmistress of the Preparatory School 1953 till 1992!! 3. Listers Am I correct in my thinking that there were three copies made of our Cambridge papers during the war years? One to go by sea to the UK for marking and another to be retained for the school. Can't recall what contingency the third one was for (if there was a third copy). In any case, I am so impressed that the ships continued on through the Arabian sea during such fraught times. We who were at hill schools during 'those' times, seemed hardly if in fact in any way, affected by the raging wars on so many fronts. Corrections welcome. Good wishes Sally -----Original Message----- From: india-british-raj-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:india-british-raj-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Patricia Page Sent: Thursday, 26 July 2012 7:44 AM To: india-british-raj@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [INDIA-BRITISH-RAJ] Senior Cambridge Examination We did Cambridge exams in Kenya but somehow there was a connection to University of London Patricia Page BC Canada ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kerry Edwards" <ozmulki@gmail.com> To: india-british-raj@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, July 25, 2012 12:29:56 AM Subject: Re: [INDIA-BRITISH-RAJ] Senior Cambridge Examination John wrote....
