    3. Hi John, My wife and I travelled on the DHR in 2006, so I knew there was only one loop left (albiet a famous and very attractive one). Maybe the writer didn't take the train ride but simply took the information from the plaque describing the DHR at the Dargeeling Station which reads in part "The line is famous for three loops & Six Z-reversals."? It was an interesting experience travelling backwards (i.e. the loco pushing instead of pulling) the first time we did that going up a zig-zag.
