Hello, I am new to the list. I am researching a cousin and was sent the following info and wonder if anyone on this list is able to point me in the right direction. " I have traced my family line back to a Richard ASTBURY who was born 2 MAR 1787 in Stoke, Staffordshire, England. He died 20 MAY 1823 in Berhampore (Baharampur, Berhampur), Bengal while I assume employed by the British East India Company, although I am not sure of that yet. " Richard was married to Esther SANDLAND and they had sons Samuel and Richard, 1814 and 1816 in Hampshire.
