    3. I envy Peg's visit to Auckland House, Glynis. My mother was a pupil there until December 1929. Some of the early staff were from Cheltenham Ladies College in England, and Auckland House became known as 'The Cheltenham College of India' It had very high standards (academic and otherwise). You mention Samaranpur - might this be Saharanpur, UP (Google's suggested alternative)?
