Dear Harshawardhan Sahib, Most people still listen to the Urdu service in Pakistan and believe every word as they STILL do not have any faith in other private and state owned radio stations. In fact, when I was living in White Plains, NY I began my mornings with watching the BBC World TV before setting off to work. The US TV network rarely cover international news unless if involves the US in some way and even ABC's "World News' is mostly about the US . Without the BBC I would have remained unaware of the 'outside' world. So the influence of the BBC is still as strong as it ever was. The only difference now is the crystal clear reception. Warm regards, Mike
