Dear All: There is a book coming out shortly about Anglo-Indian women. Originally I was to have an article in the book, but due to some editorial disagreements and in the end because I could not allow my article to go to print without my final review, the story was withdrawn with my deepest regrets, at the 11th hour. However, I believe this story needs to be known and so here it is with my compliments for those of you who wish to read a little about the heroic contributions of a great Anglo-Indian woman to the War effort in Burma in the 1940's.
