Having started to try and find out about my ancestors I am having a problem tracing my Great-grandfather, especially his military career . The only firm information I have is that on his son Samuel Mullen Baptism certificate, from St George’s Church Wellington South India dated Dec 1877, he states that he is a Private in the 48 Regt. His name is John Mullen. On discharge he settled in Jhansi and I believe he worked for the GIP Railway. His wife was Amelia. Please can someone help.
