Hello listers I am searching for any information concerning Bombardier Timothy CUNNINGHAM, 4th Bn B Coy Madras Artillery ( later, No 7 Battery 23rd Brigade Royal artillery.) Born in the parish of Kilmore in Tipperary, he enlisted at Limerick at the age of 24 in 1847 and shipped to Madras on the "Elizabeth" in 1848. He married 15 year-old Elizabeth LYONS in 1860. She died not long after the birth of their daughter, Bridget, my g-grandmother. Her father, Daniel LYONS was also a member of the Madras Artillery. Timothy was discharged in 1867 and indicated that he intended to return to Kilmore at the end of his service at Woolwich. Posted in the hope that any of these might appear in someone's records.
