    2. I came across a very interesting account of the great Masulipatam storm of 1864. This was in "A manual of the Kistna district in the presidency of Madras" By Gordon Mackenzie (Pages 118-129) that I found whilst searching on Google Books.   My Great Great Grandfather was "old Mr Ottman" who left the Fort to look for his daughter, Charlotte Louisa, who had only married a week previously to Scott (Manager of the Engineer’s office).   I do not know much about them, but Charlotte had previously married a Joseph Fruvall (Furval) who then died. She then re-married (Possibly William) Scott and they were both killed in the storm as per the account a week or two after their wedding.   Does anyone know much about this and anything about who Mr Scott was?   Regards   Mark
