I am coming back to a query I have raised on the List in the past, this time with a little more information. The person I am interested in is Jacob Ezekiel Ezra SASSOON born 1881/2. He was a Bombay based merchant. His wife's name was Annie and she was born in 1890/91. They had a daughter born about 1929 whose name was either Dorothy or Florence. That is all I have other than that like other Sassoons he appears to have been very wealthy. I have read what I believe is the main book on the Sassoons in India and England 'The Sassoons: Portrait of a Dynasty' by Stanley Jackson and it makes no mention of him. Unlike the other Sassoons this man appears to have kept a very low profile. Does anyone have any ideas? David Railton
