David This is not a very helpful reply to your query, but I had a friend as a student, David Walker, now sadly deceased. He became a successful costume designer and told me he was related to the Sassoons through his mother, who looked very similar to my part-Indian grandmother. I will look for the card he sent telling me this just in case his mother was the Annie or Dorothy you mention. He met some of his distant Sassoon relatives. Sorry not to be more precise.
