I have found William and a daughter who died in 1882 in The Times of India upon doing some more research I have discovered there was a Cholera outbreak round that time. I also found him on the 1881 census apparently home on leave. William was sent from Enfield Rifle Factory to India as Inspector of arms and he became Civil Chief Master Armorer.
