I recently came across a posting on Google that led me to theV.O.C website and I found a listing for the name Christoffel Jochem SALDER from Slendel sailed away on ship HUIS te Assenburg from Holland 19 March 1729 arriving in Ceylon 05 Nov 1729 The Family name SALDER is my brickwall ,I have been researching my tree for the last 5 years, so any little snippnet of info regarding the name or how Dutch ancestry would be welcome.
