Dear Readers, My great, great grandfather James Grant married Ann Thomas nee Ladore atNellore, India in 1862. James Grant was a widower and Ann Thomas a widow. On the wedding certificate it says that he was an Inspector of Police. He was 42 and she 37 years old when married. Does anyone know if there are any records of the police in Nellore, Madras, India that I could look at which could possibly give me clues to where he was born, who his first wife was and if he had any children with her.
