Further to Debra's message regarding above person, I just wanted to say that I did a quick lookup in the Dutch Archives, and found the following, which I believe is the same person, but the first two names are shown in reverse order. It doesn't give much more info other than where he originated from and when he was discharged from the army. I have translated what the Dutch record says. There were a few other Salder's but of course I'm not sure if they are related or not. I don't know where the place Slendel is, nor does it appear either when I do a Google search. For those who may have Dutch ancestors, I recently discovered the website below which is a kind of 'Find My Past'.
