Sue I have checked the 1841 census - I could not find any Thomas Lynn, but did find a Mary Lynn, aged 70, and Independent living at Lockyer Terrace, St Andrew, Plymouth and born in Devon. With her were : Martha Lynn 30 Independent born Devon Eliza Roseman 25 Independent not born Devon Vivian Roseman 3 Independent not born Devon Elizabeth Vivian 30 Independent not born Devon + Elizabeth Lawrence 10 Female Servant Not sure if this is of any help.
