I looked in the usual places for a death of Elizabeth, but could not find an entry, either on the LDS website Family Search or on the index records for the Overseas Army deaths. Perhaps this is because she died while travelling. The sources are set out in the FIBIS Fibiwiki Beginners Guide http://wiki.fibis.org/index.php?title=Beginners'_Guide You could try the Passengers leaving England on Find My Past, however it is likely the family was on a troop ship which would not show up in these records Also, many of the names of towns you mention are unfamiliar to me, and I wonder how accurate they are eg Maspatamia (Masulipatam?) Junglapaul (Jubbulpore?), Canmor (Cannanore?). The only problem is these three alternative names do not seem to be in the same region. Frizzbad (mentioned in the other post) is possibly Firozpur, the English names being Ferozepur /Ferozepore. Perhaps you will find the relevant names mentioned in the Army service record. Hi Martin, These could be the names you are looking for...from Wikipedia... A few years ago there was a book online with old and new(ish) names, I can't seem to find it now, and it was several computer crashes ago. Machilipatnam , known as Masulipatnam under British rule and as Bandar in folklore is a city and a special grade municipality and the District Administrative Head-Quarters of the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is located 62 kilometres (39 mi) east of Vijayawada. snip....In the early nineteenth century, Jabalpur was gradually annexed in British India as Jubbulpore and incorporated as a major cantonment town. Kannur also known as Cannanore, is a city in Kannur district in the Indian state of Kerala. Cheers, Jill
