A few days ago (well maybe a week or 2), there was a message about the Bavarian State Library & how they had books available online. Specifically there was a mention of Allen's Indian Mail for a year or two. When I looked at the site, I found many issues, from 1845 to 1891. (approx) Each of these has entries for domestic occurrences (BMD) the information is self reported, but it is contemporary &, for example, for deaths, the husband is often mentioned. Whilst, Sandra's 1908 death is outside the range, there might be others who are looking for confirming records. I find the events are listed about 6 months after they took place. There is also an Indian News & Chronicle of Eastern Affairs for the period 1848 thru 58. While I have not gone thru it in detail, it seems to also have genealogical information. Ed of Falcon
