Hello List Shirley, the FIBIS Fibiwiki has a page "Wills, Administrations, Probate and Inventories" http://wiki.fibis.org/index.php?title=Wills,_Administrations,_Probate_and_In ventories or http://tinyurl.com/3u9mpwx There are copies of wills available at the British Library proved at the High Courts of Calcutta, Madras and Bombay. These records are also available on LDS microfilm, with a microfilm of the index for each Presidency. However I am doubtful whether someone who lived in the Central Provinces would have a will proved at these High Courts, so I suspect you would not be able to find a will for him. Other wills, proved at District Courts in India, if they exist at all now, would be in India. I know that he was in the Civil Service in the Central Provinces, but not much more that that. Does anyone have suggestions how and where to look for his last will and testament? I think it would clarify a major brick wall in my family tree. Thank you, Shirley
