Father of Henry Ashley Emile who seems to have fathered all the Ashley-Emiles in India. Where can I find birth records for these years in Bengal? I have used IBIS, FamilySearch, and India Office and come up short trying to go back any further. Unable to find any information on parents of Alfred or Sophia or birthplace in India or UK. Also looking for any information on Redvers Henry Ashley Emile (1899-1976) who called himself RHAE Cavendish or his sister Renee Emile (1917-1942) buried in Lucknow cemetery. Their father Henry Ashley Emile (1845-1916) was supposed to be a judge in India who was murdered in 1916. Unable to confirm this.
