    3. Just as a follow-up on the question I asked. I had a couple of replies concerning the DLI software download. Neither was complimentary. At this stage therefore I would recommend that people do not attempt to use it. My conclusion is that the DLI site is useful for nothing larger than documents with a small number of pages - say up to 100 or so - which can be downloaded one at a time and then subsequently processed. Larger documents would require either the patience of Job, or a collaborative approach with a number of people dealing with sections of a large book, or both, with someone to assemble the final complete version. To process downloads you will need software that can actually view a .tif file. In my case I have Acrobat Professional (a most useful Christmas present for those planning ahead, and something that I could not live without now) with which I can convert files into .pdf and then assemble into a single document and bookmark etc. That's what I did with 'Dehra Dun, Past and Present.' Some further reading here: http://techstunted.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/downloading-books-from-digital-li brary.html Reading that is enough to put me off even trying to download a large document. Noel
