    3. Hello List Nancy, the FIBIS Fibiwiki page Miscellaneous tips (http://wiki.fibis.org/index.php?title=Miscellaneous_tips) has some tips on restoring old photographs, written by James Tanner, (from the Family Search website). Restoring old photographs is not really your problem, but perhaps James Tanner would be willing to give you some advice, or write something further on FamilySearch. I found an email address for him: genealogyarizonaATgmail.com (Substitute the usual @ symbol for AT) He has a blog http://genealogysstar.blogspot.com.au/ If you do find out some information, do update the List. Another alternative, if you are a FIBIS member, is to ask the FIBIS webmaster to upload the image to the Fibiwiki, and then ask List members click on the URL to look at the image on the Fibiwiki to suggest what is written. Some Fibiwiki scans can be enlarged considerably, but I think it depends how the image was scanned in the first place. You could perhaps do the same for FIBIS on Facebook, but I think you can get a greater enlargement on the Fibiwiki Cheers Maureen (Sydney) From: NANCY LILLY < [email protected]> Subject: [INDIA] Clean up of photograph of 1830 Bengal document Date: Tue, 28 May 2013 09:49:16 -0500 This would probably be considered off topic but it does relate to my research in India. To save time, I took a digital photograph of a document from the Murghihatta Roman Catholic Cathedral. Of course, the original register was in very bad condition and pages had bled through. Does anyone on the List have any suggestions as to how I could clean my copy so it's halfway readable? Is there a program for this or anyone know anyone who has means to do it? I am desperate and any suggestions would be very, very much appreciated. Thanks very much. Nancy Rixon Lilly
