Hello List Marion, for the records, there are 3 possible sources set out in the FIBIS Fibiwiki page Indian Army, section Records http://wiki.fibis.org/index.php?title=Indian_Army#Records Firstly, there may be records at the British Library in the series called "Indian Army Records of Service" and you can perform an online search by name to see if the one you want is there. However the actual records are not available online. If there is no record there, you have two choices. You can either try the National Archives of India, or the British Army. (Contact details on the Fibiwiki page). For people who were demobbed in England, perhaps the latter source would be applicable, but this is a "best guess". I understand there is quite a wait to actually receive a record if there is one there (up to 12 months at times) Perhaps others can advise you about the medals. Cheers Maureen (Sydney) From: marion walter < [email protected]> Subject: [INDIA] British Indian Army WW2 Date: Mon, 27 May 2013 11:58:49 +0100 Where would I look to find the service records of people who joined the British Indian Army in India in WW2 and were subsequently demobbed in England as British subjects. Would there be campaign medals? Any help greatly appreciated. Marion
