John Daniel Harvey (1840-1905) was my maternal ggf and was an uncovenanted civil servant in Assam. I have had no success in discovering his antecedents. However, he was in receipt of a small government pension (ref Thackers). I read recently on the list that on the death of a government pensioner details of his family etc would be recorded. I'd be very grateful if someone would give me help in accessing these records. Regards, Michael
