Hello, I need help learning something of the Lancashire born groom, my great,great uncle He was last seen in the 1851 census as being at school in Dollar,Scotland, aged about 13. The bride may have been born in Farnham, Surrey,c.1838. Though his younger brother, Arthur Ross was in India at the time of the wedding working for the O&R Railway near Lucknow, and his father, Thomas, had died in Meerut five years earlier, the brothers were unaware of the others presence in India until 1876. I do not have access to Thackers Indian or Bengal Gazettes , but someone who does may be able to help me. I took a quick look at FIBIS's marriages without luck. Thanks, Nick (Canada)
