    3. Hi Mary-Anne and All, I do have much of the further information that you suggested may assist and with hindsight should have listed this in my original enquiry. Emily's parents were Mary Ann [nee Lynchey] and George Dudley. Mary Ann died in Sydney in 1901 and is buried at Waverley Cemetery, George died in1868 and is buried in St. Peters Churchyard, St. Peters. George Dudley was a convict and Mary Ann Lynchey the daughter of a convict who accompanied her mother to Australia. As with many convicts finding their parents has proved an unrewarding, 13 year, task. But I continue. Emily had 10 siblings, only 2 produced children and I have followed these as far as BDM release dates allow and further with the sites that I mentioned. The only references I have found to Emily is possibly in a newspaper report on Trove [prior to 1901] and the reference to her being "living" on her mother's death certificate. If she married after her mother's death it is not recorded in any Australian documentation that I have seen, nor on the other sites I have already mentioned. There are no Wills listed at the NSW Records. I will try again the sites that you mention. Thank you for your helpful response. Cheers Peter Melbourne -----Original Message----- From: Mary-Anne Gourley [mailto:maryanne.gourley@bigpond.com] Subject: Request for information on Emily Dudley on India List Hi Peter You do not give any information on Emily's parents - names for instance which would help in research or the place of her mothers death. I have checked the websites Familysearch and Findmypast for a marriage or death occurring for your 2nd great aunt and came up without any hits. As approximately only 75% of the records were copied and transferred back to the UK it may well be that Emily was in India but with no records pertaining to her. However have you searched the records for the UK, for instance the 1911 Census? Could Emily have travelled to England for some reason - perhaps there was family links there? Did Emily have siblings? where were they, is Emily mentioned in any documents relating to any of them? Perhaps Emily married after her mothers death in 1901? where was her father? Did either of Emily's parents leave a will? Familysearch has the indexes for BDM for India, Findmypast has indexed the BMD records from the BL and also provides the images. Ancestry also has the indexes. The FIBIS website is free to search has a database which contains over 1.5 million transcriptions. regards Mary Anne --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast!
