Hello Listers, I wonder if any of you have any information on the Northern Bengal Mounted Rifles (NBMR). I know they had their Headquarters in Darjeeling and were a tea-planter based militia. I believe they helped the evacuees along the Burma Road during World War 2, and there is a book "Forgotten Frontier" by Geoffrey Tyson which gives an account of this. Also, would anyone know if they have any Annual Reports that may be held anyway - The India Records Office, for example? Thank you for any help. James Sinclair jimsin12@aol.com
