Dear all, Thank you to all of those people who kindly took the time to write and assist. I appreciate everyones response. Simon, I am wondering if you have a link for the ' find my past ' record that you saw the marriage record of my grandmother, MARY MARGARET TILBURY to my grandfather HERBERT JAMES BALLANTYNE , in Sept 1927, in Lahore , in which you saw ' HENRY TILBURY , not HARRY as her father. I have not been able to access it , perhaps you can post a copy. ? of course " Harry ' is a less formal version of HENRY , but some were christened Harry and not HENRY, GIVING RISE TO CONFUSION ! As no one seems to of found a record of her birth or baptism, there , to date, have been no other as yet found formal records relating to her life in INDIA . I have written to the CONVENT OF JESUS AND MARY , now that I know that's where she was raised, in the hope that there were records kept and further hope that they have survived. Other than this, I have hope that DNA TESTING recently conducted thru ANCESTRY.COM.AU to which I subscribe will bring us some clues or a genetic connection, however for now, my story remains as " which HARRY/ HENRY TILBURY" .
