Hi All, I have a birth record for my Great Grandmother x 2 saying she was born 1819. I also have found a marriage record for her parents ( the names, fathers details and area are the same on her birth record) but the marriage was in 1822 and she was born 1819. Her mother is Indian. Would this be a norm that they would marry after having children? Thanks Sue
Hi Sue, My ggg grandparents, with the wife Indo Briton, [& only 13 yrs old & husband 26] didn't marry until 1844 after having their first child in 1829 and went on to have 4 more before they married, so I feel it was pretty normal.
