Hi I have found a marriage between Bertie John French and Lena Catherine Doyle 28 September 1917 in Mhow - he was a Private in the SW Borderers. According to the record Lena Catherine Doyle was born about 1899 - father Jack Doyle - and I am thinking she was maybe born in Ireland as the marriage is also recorded under Irish Marriages in Find My Past. However, I have been unable to find any further information about either of these people; I know they had a daughter (Bessie) in Mhow in 1920 but they then fall off the radar. Bertie was possibly from Finchingfield in Essex, down as an Ag Lab in 1911 so maybe the Army sounded better!! Many thanks for any help, Hilary
