Hi I am stuck on finding information on a William Henry Deacon who was born in Plymouth unsure of birthdate. He had a son named William Henry Deacon born 1888 in England he married Rosamond Gertrude Crell/Croll in 1919 in Belgaum,Bombay, India. Hi Gaye;Would he be any relation to Lt Colonel William Edward Durand DEACON, born in Colombo in 1827?   He had two sons and two daughters between 1857 and 1874, but not a William Henry that I know of .... but there was enough scandal in the family for it to be a possibility. Hello List Gaye, I see from the marriage image on findmypast that the groom was a Sergeant RFA (Royal Field Artillery) You may be able to find out more about him through military records He appears on the findmypast listing of Royal Artillery Attestations 1883-1942 . Unfortunately I can hardly read it, it is so faint, but I think it says he was discharged in 1928.
