My late grandmother's maiden name was Tennent, and was in some way connected to the Scottish brewer of the same name. However, the exact connection has been lost to the mists of time. I know for a fact in the 60's she was entitled to a lump sum from the brewery for one reason or another. Her name was Kathleen Tennent, born in Jalrapet, India, and her father was Joseph Tennent, who died in 1929, who married Kathleen Goodman, born 1 December 1888, died 27 November 1928.
