The following record was drawn to my attention yesterday. Parish of Bo'ness, (OPR 663/4), Linlithgow, West Lothian Entries dated 13th April 1784 "Mr Abraham Roebuck, supercargo in the Honble the East India Company's Service and Jean Lidderdale had a lawful son born at Macao in China 12th, baptized 26th May 1777 & named William. Mr Abraham Roebuck, supercargo in the Honble the East India Company's Service and Jean Lidderdale had a lawful daughter born at Macao in China 3rd, baptized 17th February 1780 & named Anne. N.B. The above tow names aare inserted here ata the desire of the mother as teh father belongs properly to this parish, being one of the family of Dr John Roebuck and Hannah" There is no further information and I have no connection with this family, but I hope that it proves of use to someone.
