John Thorpe Jnr was born in India of Ango-Indian parents and on the record L/F/10/190 for 1866 it shows he was "born in India" [1829] so perhaps because he was not of British parentage this is why he does not appear on the "Deaths in the Uncovenanted Service" and perhaps a bit too early for records to have survived. Unfortunately as none of my ancestors were of the Officer or Upper class they have been very hard to research as far as marriage & death records go. Kind regards and thanks again for your thoughts.
