Penny asks - does the British Library have actual coplies of BMD. The BL microfilms are of hand written transcriptions of original registers in churches in India. They are available to look at (no cost) and take copies of (@ 21p a print). You will need a readers pass (register for free) to use the reading rooms. The BL site gives all the deatils.
