    3. Hello List Dave said: Born about 1786 died 08 Jan 1857. Married 17 June 1799, Berhampore, to William INNES (1771-1850), they had seven children. In the 1851 UK census she was in Bath with her age recorded as 65 born in India, British subject. Her father was Major General Edward RAWSTORNR (1745-1801). She is my wife Brenda's 3g-grandmother. As you can see, I know a lot about her. The one important missing fact is the identity of her mother. I have looked for her parent's marriage in the area of Badsworth, Yorkshire (Edward's birthplace and where they apparently had a home), in the parish indices that have been transcribed to no avail. There is a chance there may be some information about the mother of Eliza in the entry for Edward Rawstorne in the book List of the Officers of the Bengal Army, 1758-1834 by V. C .P. Hodson, the FIBIS database gives the page reference 616-617 . This book is available on LDS microfilm in addition to being available in many Libraries , including the British Library. For more details, refer the FIBIS Fibiwiki page Bengal Army http://wiki.fibis.org/index.php?title=Bengal_Army Cheers Maureen (Sydney)

It was the source of my information about Gen. William INNES and Gen. Edward RAWSTORNE. -- Dave Barnett
