    3. Dear listers, I have been given some information regarding William Black CAMPBELL s/o John Kirkwood CAMPBELL and Margaret Ferrie CAMPBELL. The info states that William was in the Royal Fusiliers, 10 Royal Fusiliers, General List, Indian Army Reserve of Officers, 1/156 Infantry IA, Regimental Number 635. I wondered why he might have gone to India in the first place. On one of the pieces of paper I was sent it states he went in as a Private and by 18.12.1917 he was commissioned as a Lieut. He married in Scotland in 1921 (occ: Coal Exporter's representative) His father John was a Coal Exporter. Married Elizabeth Alice McLea. They were living in Glasgow at 2 Kelvingrove., which is on the Correspondence sheet. It says O i/c Mility: Dept. I.O. forwards Nom Rolls . Received from India of (looks like affairs) entitled to 1914-1915 Star d/ 23.8.1922 Any help gratefully appreciated Cheers Chris Aust.
