    3. Ivan I am guessing that the "Artillery" in this case is not the HM Army Royal Artillery, but one of the East India Company's Armies' Artillery. As the marriage occurred in Baroda, my guess would be that Richard Herbert would have been in the Bombay Artillery. I would recommend that you trawl through the Bombay Army Muster and Casualty Rolls for the early 1800s to try and identify both Richard Herbert, and a possible father or former husband of Judith.
