    3. I am currently research a Rochfort family, the head of which was one Marcus (Marius?) Rochfort. I have sourced from 'Poor Relations : the making of a Eurasian community in British India, 1733, some details of his teaching posts. Marcus Gustavus Rochfort was a teacher by profession and, at various stages of his career, he taught at the Upper Military Academy, and was headmaster of the PAI, from 1829-1830. In 1835 he was listed as a teacher at the Madrassa, all at Calcutta, and between 1842 and 1847 he was, first, headmaster and, later, Professor of Literature at the headmaster, Mahommed Mohsen School, Hooghly. I have checked the Fibiwiki, but can find no reference to the Upper Military Academy or the PAI. Can anyone tell me what the PAI was, and perhaps also something about the Upper Military Academy. I have found some additional information about the Mahommed Mohsen School from an issue of the Asiatic journal.
