Author: lostfamilies1 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.asia.india.general/2537/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I have a bit of a problem on that one one document i have a person saying he was born Madras this is 1915 on another it states Lahore 1950 Now i know Lahore is now in Pakistan, on the baptism document it states abode Lahore this is Sept 1915, on his sign up to the army 1939 he states Madras on citizenship papers Lahore is given so it seems it goes from one to the other So which would you say it is as i believe these 2 are not close together especially now as one is in India & the other in Pakistan I believe that it may be due to when the British had it it came under the Presidency of Madras but would like to have some other thoughts of people who may know more than me Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
