My great grandparents were married at St George's Church 15 Apr 1889 and I have the details from the British Library records N/1/208 which give the information one would expect: names, ages, marital status, his profession, both places of residence, fathers' names, banns, witnesses. Would the original records give anything additional to this, for example might they mention the bride's suspected Anglo Indian origins? I ask because a friend is having a holiday in India in December. She has already very kindly agreed to take some photographs and might be prevailed upon to check the records for me, but I don't like to ask if it is not absolutely necessary as her schedule is pretty tight and I'm sure she'd much rather be admiring the Taj Mahal than rummaging around church registers! The bmd records are also kept here, and I found the staff extremely helpful
