    3. Hi Mark: As a child in the 1920's I heard my teen-age uncles talk about this unit.  I think it functioned as a "Reserve" to be called upon when needed as in war time. They also referred to it as the "Madras Guard".   I never heard anything about it in the 1930's and I believe it must have been abolished sometime in the 1930's.
