Author: philrmoon Surnames: guy, setch Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.asia.india.general/2530/mb.ashx Message Board Post: i'm trying to find some information on the guy family, it seems that an emily guy was born in meerut, west bengal, india in abt 1876 and her sister ellen b abt 1874 also in meerut, west bengal, india, someone informed me that on the 1881 census they are shown living with the setch family in billericay,nr brentwood and are show as nieces to a samuel setch, i was further informed that emily appears in the 1891 census also in billericay, brentwood but not an ellen guy. If anyone has any print offs that they would very kindly email me on philrmoon@btinternet.com and aalso of any other information that they may be aware of such as the parents or other siblings etc i would be very grateful. I was also told that in the 1911 census there is shown living in cardiff, glamorgan a emily/emmeline/emma guy shown b abt 1875 at sea working as a servant, again if anyone has a copy of a census report, would they be kind enough to email it please. Have no idea where and who emily and ellens p! arents were and it is possible that they could have been living over in india in west bengal around meerut.
