Hi listers I have George GARLICK (b 1838) who was a Corporal in 36th Regiment of Foot also known as the Herefordshire Regiment. His Regiment left for India in 1863. George had a daughter, Mary Zipporah GARLICK, born 1864 in Lucknow and a possible son, George who shows up in the 1881 Cheshire Census as born in India. George was medically discharged from the Regiment in April 1874. His discharge papers have no medical report. It appears that he died by December 1874. Any information about him would be good. Don't know who his wife was and can find no record of a marriage for him. He would have been 25 in 1863 when he left for India. Information about the movements of the Regiment prior to 1863 are a bit sketchy, but I think they were in Ireland immediately before deployment. Grateful for anything.
