Does anyone have access to Allens Indian Mail for 1858? I am looking for a report of the possible wrongdoing of Edmund Daniel Adolphus Reeve(s), who had been a "Police Inspector, 3rd Grade" in Calcutta, between 1853 and 1858. Unfortunately he died on March 7th 1858, at the Calcutta House of Correction, where it seems he had been an inmate. I am hoping that as a policeman who had committed some crime, the local papers would have run a report on it. I have checked Allens India Mail from 1855 to the end of 1857 without any joy, so it is a strong possibility that he was only incarcerated since the beginning of January 1858 at the earliest. Can anyone direct me to either the relevant issues of Allens Indian Mail or similar? Many thanks Lynden
