GILBERT - The Brevet of the Indian Army, appearing in Friday's Gazette, promotes thirty-eight Major Generals to be Lieut. Generals, and amongst the number we observe the name of Sir WALTER RALEIGH GILBERT. There are also eleven Majors promoted to be Lieut.-Colonels, and two hundred and five Captains to be Majors.
